Paper & reproduction

A surface chosen
for watercolour.

Editions Etching Cotton Rag

The substantial 315 gsm paper has a gently textured, matte surface. It gives pale washes and open areas a natural presence without the glare of a glossy print, while retaining clarity in architectural lines and darker brushwork.

Fine-art giclée reproduction

High-resolution reproduction captures delicate shifts in colour, granulation and the meeting of wet and dry edges. The print remains a faithful reproduction: the physical brushstrokes are unique to John’s painted sheet.

Made individually

Nothing is taken from a warehouse shelf. Each print is produced to order in the selected size and presentation, then prepared for delivery.

Frames & presentation

Finished around
the artwork.

Choose the print alone, mounted without a frame, or mounted and framed. Frames have a 20 mm face, 33 mm depth and a subtle open-grain finish.

  • Black open-grainA crisp contemporary edge for stronger colour.
  • White open-grainLight and unobtrusive against pale interiors.
  • Mount onlyA clean, flexible presentation ready for your own frame.

Glazing is selected according to the size and delivery requirements of the finished piece.

The white mount

More space around
the painting.

A mount introduces breathing space around the image and draws attention to the retained paper edge and signature.

The named size always refers to the artwork area itself. An A2 print remains 420 × 594 mm; selecting a mount or frame increases the finished outer dimensions without reducing the artwork.
